Brevard Cultural Alliance (BCA) seeks an Administrative Assistant

Brevard Cultural Alliance (BCA) seeks an Administrative Assistant/Receptionist to join the team beginning June 11, 2012.

The Administrative Assistant provides support to BCA staff, Board and its members. The Administrative Assistant reports to the Executive Director of the BCA.
Responsibilities include:

• general clerical duties, including answering phone, assisting visitors, processing mail, etc.
• maintenance of social media pages
• assistance with web site postings, input and editing (Events and Banners)
• produce minutes for a variety of meetings
• coordination and recruitment of volunteers and other related tasks.
The successful candidate will bring a focused approach to their work, be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to maintain poise under exacting standards and workloads.

Compensation: $10 per hour
Work hours: Monday-Thursday 9:00am-2:00pm; Friday 9:00am-1:00pm

Minimum Qualifications:
• An associate’s degree or higher in a related field required.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with members and staff.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills as well as good time management skills.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and Excel applications, as well as internet navigation and research.
